VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Ready to make a profound difference in our community? It all starts with the right training.

For nearly 50 years, Hospice of the Conejo has prepared community members for the deeply rewarding journey of providing love, comfort and support to individuals facing terminal or life-limiting illnesses. Our annual New Volunteer Training is a comprehensive, two-month program designed to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to support individuals and families navigating life’s final chapter.

Program Details:

  • Commitment: Eight weekly, 3-hour sessions (1 to 4 p.m.). Attendance at all eight sessions is required.

  • Cost: Completely free of charge.

Upon completion of the training, you will be fully prepared to serve as an in-home hospice volunteer—providing vital non-medical support (social, emotional and spiritual) to residents from Calabasas to Simi Valley and throughout the Conejo Valley.
